Dr. Zali appointed prominent healthcare professionals as International Affairs Councilors & Senior Advisors to promote IRIMC global strategies.

Dr. Shima Naghavi DDS (fluent in English & French and with expertise in International Affairs) was appointed as the Director of International Affairs Department.  She serves as Board Member of IRIMC Commission for Credential Verification and Head of IRIMC Department of International Education & Research. The purpose of IRIMC International Affairs Department is 1) Definition and regulation of IRIMC global strategies 2) Promoting educational and research cooperation in medical & dental sciences between Iran and other countries. 3) Promoting and facilitating the relations between Iranian health care professionals and their counterparts around the globe. 4) Cooperation with WHO and other UN subordinates regarding achieving sustainable development in the field of medicine.

According to IRIMC global strategies that were set by renowned healthcare professionals, the foreign policies of IRIMC were established. For enhancing the proficiency and competency of IRIMC as the voice of Iranian healthcare professionals nationwide as well as worldwide and to make it a highly trusted & notable Licensing and Regulatory Authority as well as professional body in the world, some official meetings were scheduled between IRIMC Senior Delegation and Ambassadors as well as top official bodies of the European embassies in Iran which are as follows:

On Tuesday, 14th January 2014, a meeting between IRIMC Senior Delegation and His Excellency Mr. von Ungern-Sternberg, the Honorable Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany took place in German Embassy. The honorable Ambassador of Germany was very pleased to meet with IRIMC president and expressed his commitment to advance mutual relations between health care professional of two countries although he stressed that medical, dental, and pharmaceutical associations of Iran & Germany should be pioneered in this project. His Excellency Mr. von Ungern-Sternberg was strongly impressed by the medical scientific cooperation between two countries and said: "The joint projects strongly inspire and promote cordial relations between health care professionals of Iran & Germany." He added:"German Embassy can facilitate the formalities of issuing visa appointments for Iranian health care professionals who want to attend congresses & seminars held in Germany."

IRIMC president highly appreciated German Ambassador's speech and expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of His Excellency Mr. von Ungern-Sternberg, and the opportunity to have such warm and productive discussions. IRIMC president was joined in the meeting by Dr. Ommi, Deputy for Education & Research, Councilor of International Affairs, Dr. Naghavi, Director of International Affairs, Prof. Mehrabi, Dr. Laripour, Director of Public Relations, and Mr. Khanbodaghi, Honorary President of Iran-Germany Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

On Thursday 27 February 2014, IRIMC hosted Mr. Pierre-André Lhôte, the Scientific and Technical Attaché of the French Embassy and Ms. Zohreh Mirbaha, the Expert in Academic Cooperation of the French Embassy in Tehran. IRIMC President, Dr. Alireza Zali, warmly greeted the official bodies of the French Embassy and emphasized on great influence of France regarding academic interchange of scientific information with Iran in the past century which led to modern application of the Medical Sciences in Iran.  "French not only was the premier scientific language in the field of medicine in Iran, but also many Iranian applied for higher education in France that among them are many noted & noble health care professionals who have served the country as academic professors and practitioners." Dr. Zali said.     He added:"As Iranian health care professionals have a long history of cooperation with their French counterparts and regarding the contemporary prominent position of France in the field of medicine, IRIMC aims to enhance cordial relations in all medical fields between Iranian & French health care professionals."

Mr. Lhôte was very pleased to meet with IRIMC president and highly appreciated warm welcome of IRIMC official bodies. The Scientific and Technical Attaché of the French Embassy in Tehran strongly welcomed the new approach of Iran Medical Council and expressed his willingness to facilitate academic & professional relations between two countries. He added:"Many noted Iranian medical doctors and dentists work in France who have established Franco-Iranian Association for Medical and Scientific Cooperation (ACMSFI - Association de Cooperation Medico-Scientifique Franco-Iranienne) which can positively affect the strong bonds between two countries." Dr. Naghavi also mentioned some important future plans of IRIMC which was welcomed by Mr. Lhôte, and he expressed his willingness to promote the proclaimed projects. One of the  mentioned topics was facilitating the process of France visa appointment for Iranian healthcare professionals who aim to participate in congresses and short-term educational courses held in France. It was welcomed by Mr. Lhôte and he expressed his willingness to promote it. On Sunday 4 May 2014, another meeting was held between Mr. Lhôte & Dr. Naghavi, the Director of IRIMC International Affairs due to set a protocol for cooperation between IRIMC department of International Affairs and the Scientific Section of the French Embassy.   IRIMC President was joined in the meeting by Councilor for International Affairs, Deputy for Education & Research, Dr. Naghavi, Director of International Affairs, Director of Public Relations, and Dr. Banisadr.

On Tuesday, 11th March 2014, a meeting between IRIMC senior delegation and His Excellency Mr. Friedrich Stift, the Honorable Ambassador of Austria took place in the bureau of Austrian Embassy Commercial Section in Tehran. Mr. Stift who was accompanied by Mr. Georg Weingartner, Austrian Commercial Counselor, and Ms. Salomeh Saidi, Austrian Marketing Manager, warmly welcomed Dr. Zali and IRIMC senior delegation. Mr. Stift mentioned that it has been a long history of cooperation between two nations and Austrians have been inspired by Iranian rich culture as well. Dr. Zali agreed with Austrian Ambassador and added:"Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council (IRIMC) aims to enhance academic relations in all medical fields between Iranian & Austrian health care professionals." "As IRIMC represents almost all Iranian health care professionals and due its independent nature, it is the main body which can effectively promote and facilitate academic, educational, and research cooperation between Iranian & Austrian medical, dental, and pharmaceutical professionals." IRIMC president said. Mr. Stift who was very pleased to meet with IRIMC president, expressed his willingness to advance mutual relations between health care professionals of two countries. IRIMC future plans were discussed in detail by IRIMC officials which was highly welcomed by His Excellency and Austrian official bodies presented in the meeting. They expressed their willingness to promote the proclaimed projects. IRIMC senior delegation and Austrian Ambassador came to several agreements which will be announced subsequently.

On Monday 19th May 2014, IRIMC hosted His Excellency Mr. Friedrich Stift and the Austrian Delegation.

RIMC President, Dr. Alireza Zali warmly greeted the Ambassador and Austrian delegation at the venue of Iran Medical 

Council. Mr. Stift who was accompanied by Dr. Georg Weingartner, Austrian Commercial Counselor, Ms. Salomeh Saidi, Austrian Marketing Manager and Austrian Medical and Pharmaceutical Equipment Delegation, was very pleased to meet with Dr. Zali and highly appreciated warm welcome of IRIMC official bodies. Mr. Stift emphasized that it has been a long history of cooperation between Iran and Austria. He mentioned that many noble and high-ranked Iranian medical doctors and dentists work in Austria who can positively boost the relations between two nations as well. "Austria highly welcomes academic, educational, and research cooperation between Iranian & Austrian medical, dental, and pharmaceutical professionals and Austrian Embassy will promote this process."Mr. Stift said.

The Austrian Delegation expressed their commitment to cooperate with Iranian Health Facilities and presented their field of activities which were as follows: -pharmaceutical and medical equipment; -planning, renovation, consulting of hospitals; -Clean Air Technology for hospitals and pharmaceutical plants; -pneumatic tubes for hospitals; -medical equipment and clean room technology; and -nurse call and fire call alarm systems.

Dr. Zali welcomed the Austrian Delegation and expressed his willingness to advance and promote the cooperation between Iranian Health Facilities and Austrian Medical Equipment Companies although he stressed that Iran Ministry of Health remains the principal body in this issue. "The demand for a specific medical equipment of either public or private health facilities would be referred to the prioritization committee of Iran Ministry of Health, and if the committee confirms the demand based on Iran health priorities, the medical equipment can be provided from available sources."IRIMC president said. He added:"As all Iranian hospitals and specialized care centers are affiliated to Iran Medical Council, IRIMC can promote the relation between Iranian Health Facilities and Austrian Medical & Pharmaceutical Companies."

Mr. Stift highly appreciated the hospitality of IRIMC President and the opportunity to have such warm and productive discussion. The Honorable Ambassador of Austria and Austrian Delegation were warmly convoyed by IRIMC official bodies.

 Dr. Zali was joined in the meeting by Councilor for International Affairs, Dr.Naghavi, Director of International Affairs, Director of Public Relations,, Vice-Deputy for Education and Research , Dr. HNaghavi, Consultant & Senior Lecturer of Queen Mary University of London, and Dr. Naderi, CEO of Jam Hospital.

On Wednesday 6th August 2014, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran hosted official bodies of IRIMC and the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Sajadi, Director General of the Department for Iranian Nationals Abroad warmly greeted the official bodies of the IRIMC and the Ministry of Health addressing the specific scope of multilateral collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IRIMC, and the Ministry of Health.

The meeting officially commenced with the speech of IRIMC Director of International Affairs. Dr. Naghavi highly appreciated warm welcome of Ministry of Foreign Affairs senior official bodies and strongly welcomed the new approach of this Ministry regarding cooperation with the nation's largest independent organization in the field of medicine.

"As the representative of IRIMC, which is the guardian of professional rights of Iranian health care professionals, I strongly appreciate that Dr. sajadi ahead of a senior delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs accepted the official invitation of IRIMC president due to attend a meeting that was held on Tuesday 14 January 2014 in IRIMC presidential bureau where senior bodies of Medical Council including Director of International Affairs and Deputy for Education & Research were present as well. In the mentioned meeting in which the representatives of the Ministry of Health attended too, the initial framework has been established through which we can develop and sustain many positive multilateral activities." She said.

Dr. Naghavi added:"Regarding Dr. Zali's open minded new visions of leadership in the Medical Council and the doctrine of the high-ranked bodies of IRIMC International Affairs, Medical Council aims to build bridges between Iranian health care professionals who live abroad and their homeland as well as IRIMC."

She remarked that IRIMC Department of International Affairs has appointed noted & prominent Iranian health care professionals as IRIMC representatives in the major European countries & US.

"The representatives serve as the council's ambassadors with a mission to promote educational and research cooperation in medical sciences between those countries' institutions and IRIMC. On the other hand, alongside IRIMC Department of International Affairs, they would build bridges between Iranian healthcare professionals abroad and their homeland." Dr. Naghavi said.

"Furthermore IRIMC has put forward a new scheme due to facilitate registration process in IRIMC for abroad Iranian health care professionals. On behalf of IRIMC president & senior officials of International Affairs, I highly appreciate if Iranian Embassies & Consulates as well as Credential Service of the Ministry of Health Educational Commission for Iranian Medical & Dental Graduates Abroad assist us in this matter."She said.

Director of IRIMC International Affairs explained that the mentioned project which is in line with governmental international policies not only unites Iranian health care professionals worldwide, but also enhance national medical & dental sciences.

The delegates of the Ministry of Health urged to access the database of Iranian Nationals Abroad although highly welcomed IRIMC's pioneered work in detecting noble Iranian health care professionals abroad.

Dr. Sajadi summed up the discourse and expressed his commitment to advance relations between Ministry of Foreign Affairs, IRIMC & Ministry of Health mentioning that a thorough protocol should be set for further cooperation.

"Iranian Embassies & Consulates around the globe are ready to get integrated in the mentioned project." He said.

IRIMC and Ministry of health Delegates highly appreciated Dr. Sajadi's speech and expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of senior bodies of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the opportunity to have such warm and productive discussion.
