The 2016 FDI Continuing Education Program launches in January with courses in Kuala Lumpur, Myanmar, and Egypt.
Development
through continuing education is an essential part of the dental
profession. It is an important aspect of modern evidence-based dental practice.
Furthermore, it is essential that dentists maintain an up-to-date clinical and
theoretical knowledge of the art and science of dentistry.
To
this end, FDI's Education Committee organizes a number of events to
support this requisite every year.
The
first session of the comming year is organized by the Malaysian Dental
Association and will take place in Kuala Lumpur from 15 to 17 January and cover
two topics: ‘Oral/periodontal health for general health and healthy ageing:
Dentists’ role and perspective’; and ‘Temporomandibular disorders: the great
imposter!’

Professor in Clinical Dental Science of Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry,
University of Hong Kong; the second by Prof. Adrian Yap, who occupies a number
of specialist dental positions in Singapore, including in health services and
professorships in SIM University and the National University of Singapore
(NUS).
