According to IRIMC global strategies set by renowned officials of the International Affairs Department and for enhancing the proficiency and competency of IRIMC as the voice of Iranian healthcare professionals nationwide as well as worldwide and to raise it to eminence as a notable Medical Council, another high level visit with an EU embassy in Tehran took place.

Ambassador Haas warmly welcomed Dr. Zali and IRIMC Senior Delegation and expressed his willingness to put forward cooperation between IRIMC as the representative of Iranian healthcare professionals and its proper counterpart in Switzerland.

IRIMC President highly appreciated the warm welcome of Swiss Ambassador and introduced Iranian Medical Council as the nation’s largest independent and non governmental organization in the field of medicine which registers all health care professionals (except nurses) to practice in Iran, and regulates bi or multilateral collaborations between health care professionals & other associations.

“As IRIMC represents almost all Iranian health care professionals and due its independent nature, it is the main body which can effectively promote and facilitate academic, educational, and research cooperation between Iranian & Swiss medical, dental, and pharmaceutical professionals." IRIMC President remarked.

IRIMC Speaker, mentioned about successful cooperation that exists between IRIMC and German, French as well as Austrian embassies in Iran which highly promoted bilateral relations between Iranian healthcare professionals and their counterparts in the related countries.

Ambassador Haas who was very pleased to meet with IRIMC president & official bodies expressed his willingness to further establishing active cooperation between health care professionals of two countries. He also agreed to scrutinize the situation due to plan and conduct a pilot project in near future for facilitating the formalities of issuing visa for IRIMC registered members aiming to participate in short courses or congresses held in Switzerland by designating some responsibilities to Iranian Medical council.

Dr. Zali highly appreciated the hospitality of His Excellency Mr. Haas and the opportunity to have such warm and productive discussion. IRIMC president was joined in the meeting by Councilor of International Affairs, IRIMC Director of International Affairs and Director of Public Relations.
