On 2-4 November 2016, Tehran hosted 5th Annual Iranian
International Congress of Forensic Medicine.
Iranian Society of Forensic Physicians in concert with renowned
national & international faculty as well as eminent Iranian healthcare
organizations and entities held the 5th annual international meeting of
forensic medicine in which top officials of medical and judiciary systems were
among guests of honor.
Iranian Medical Council, Iranian Ministry of Health, Iranian
Forensic Medicine Organization, Iranian Judiciary System, The UNESCO Chair in
Human Rights, Peace and Democracy, and 3 Iranian universities of medical
sciences were the main partners of this event.
Dr. Zali, IRIMC President and Dr. Shojaei, IFMO President were
the keynote speakers.
In his opening remarks before the 5th AIICFM, Dr. Zali
acclaimed the professional expertise of recent generations of forensic
physicians which is contributed to the most significant strides in this career.
“Forensic Medicine is a multidisciplinary subject which
combines medicine and law to analyze evidences and to determine the nature of death.
Forensic Medicine has been improved significantly through advances in genetics,
genomes, molecular biology and modern technology.”Dr. Zali said.
He added:”It is needed to Institutionalize the forensic
medicine in every aspects of national health system which leads to excellence
in clinical practice and fulfillment the society need.”
With more than 16 scientific panels and one workshop
addressed all healthcare professionals, the congress came to an end on Friday afternoon.
