Amsterdam hosts 24th EAES International Congress
24th International Congress of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery will be held in Amsterdam on 15-18 June 2016.

The European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) was founded in 1990 and since then has become a growing and dynamic organization that continues to play a leading role in Endoscopic Surgery and Allied Interventional Techniques.

Aside from organizing annual Top Level European Congresses in different European countries, the EAES activities in education, training, research, development, and publication are effected through its various Committees.

The European Association of Endoscopic Surgery has fostered the development and maturation of minimally invasive techniques during the past 25 years. Minimally invasive surgery, the largest revolution in surgery since endotracheal intubation in the early 1900's, has made a difference in the lives of millions of patients worldwide and continues to expand its scope. Development of novel technologies further reducing the burden of surgery provides patients and clinicians with more options by the day. Frontier breaking basic and clinical research open new avenues for cure and generate evidence for cost-effective care pathways. The EAES will keep clinicians and patients up to date in this rapidly evolving world enabling them to make the best choices.

24th International Congress of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery will be held in Amsterdam on 15-18 June 2016. Under the Theme” A new way of seeing”, the congress offers attendees latest insights and forecasts of new technologies varying from 3D, 4K, image guided procedures, robotics to nanotechnology.

According to Congress President, the coming congress encompasses focused sessions on bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, abdominal wall surgery and solid organ surgery and for the first time, the EAES is offering in Amsterdam a full day multidisciplinary session on pelvic pathology with a panel of general surgeons, gynecologists and urologists.
