A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IRIMC & AHK Iran to facilitate participation of IRIMC registered members in recognized healthcare exhibitions held in Germany.
On Monday, 1st August 2016, the signing ceremony of the MoU
between Medical Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran and German-Iranian
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Iran) was held in the venue of Iranian
Medical Council.
IRIMC President, Dr. Alireza Zali, warmly greeted the AHK delegation
and briefly introduced the Iranian Medical Council.
“As the nation’s largest independent Non-Governmental
Organization, Iranian Medical Council(IRIMC) registers all health care
professionals (except nurses) to practice in Iran and is the recognized trade
union for all of its registered members. Representing more than 241,000
registered members, IRIMC is the umbrella organization which regulates bi or
multilateral collaborations between Iranian healthcare professionals and other
organizations. Composing of 196 regional branches, Iranian Medical Council is
committed to promote medical practice and strives to achieve highest possible
standards in national healthcare system.” Dr. Zali remarked.
“It has been a long history of cooperation between two
nations specifically in the field of medicine. Many Iranians have applied for
higher education in Germany that among them are many noted & noble health
care professionals who have served the country as academic professors and
practitioners.” He added
Dr. Zali acknowledged the contributions of the IRIMC
Department of International Affairs as well as great support
of Mr. René Harun, the Managing
Director of AHK Iran whom without support this MoU and good relationship
could not be achieved."
Based on the MoU between IRIMC and AHK Iran, facilities will
be provided for IRIMC registered members who aim to participate in recognized
healthcare exhibitions held in Germany including MEDICA, IDS, EXPOPHARM, etc
Germany is the third largest provider of medical technology
products, after the United States and Japan.
MEDICA & IDS are the world's leading trade fair for the
medical industry and the world's leading trade fair for the
dental sector respectively which attract considerable number of attendees from
around the world. These trade fairs are highly recognized among Iranian
healthcare professionals, so the number of Iranian attendees to these
events has been steadily growing over the years
Under this MoU, the types of facilities provided by AHK Iran
may include:
a)Facilitating the procedure of getting visa appointments
b)Guidance about Schengen Visa Application Requirements
c)Checking the applicants’ documents to verify the
completion of documents prior to submission to the embassy.
d)Traveling facilities including hotel reservation, discount
on flight ticket and trade health insurance in condition of tour facilities
from AHK Iran.
e)Providing airport transfer and Persian speaking guide for
group participants.
The MoU shall take effect on the 1st August 2016 and will
remain in full force and effect till the 1st December 2017.
Mr. René Harun was
pleased to meet with IRIMC president and highly appreciated warm welcome of
IRIMC official bodies. He emphasized on good ties between two countries and acknowledged
the contribution of Iranian doctors who work in Germany. Mr. Harun expressed
his support and willingness to put forward the MoU.
