IRIMC Comprehensive Scientific Congress
The first Comprehensive & full discipline Scientific Congress for Iranian Health care professionals was held by IRIMC in Tehran at Shahid Beheshti University International Convention center on 29-31 January 2014.

The first Comprehensive & full discipline Scientific Congress for Iranian Health care professionals was held by IRIMC in Tehran at Shahid Beheshti University International Convention center on 29-31 January 2014.




Approximately 2000 MD specialists, General Practitioner, Dental specialists & General Dentists, Pharmacists, Clinical Laboratory Doctors, midwives, nurses, and many other health care professionals participated in this thorough & extensive congress.
More than 300 professors of Iranian Medical Universities attended at the venue as lecturers, and almost 34 medical, dental, and pharmaceutical faculties, scientific associations as well as medical research centers cooperated with IRIMC to hold this significant and remarkable event.

Undoubtedly, it was a historic and momentous event in the field of medicine, as all Iranian health care professionals could participate in CME courses and programs to obtain the minimum 6 and the maximum 26 points.
Regarding Iran Ministry of health rules & principles, medical doctors and dentists have to take part in CME courses each year to obtain 25 points and the total of 125 CME points in 5 years which make them eligible to participate in the licensure revalidation process.   
Revalidation is the process by which licensed health care professionals are required to demonstrate on a regular basis that they are up to date and fit to practice.
In this congress a comprehensive educational program consists of 200 hours has been presented to participants, and all together they have took part in 8500 scientific programs.

Deputy of Education & Research accompanied by his executive and scientific boards consisting of 19 Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical University Professors and official bodies of Iranian Medical Council including: Dr.Farhoudian, Dr. Razi, Dr.Momenzadeh, Dr.Mohseni, Dr.Arefian, Dr.Salimi, Dr.Ghiamat, Dr.Malek, Dr.Yazdani,  Dr.Gharaei, Dr.Mofrad, Dr.Ghodousi, Dr Akbari, Dr.Kalantar Motamedi, Dr. Sahebzamani,  Dr. Naghavi, and Dr.Mojab have worked strenuously for more than 3 months to regulate and put into action this unique and comprehensive congress.

In the opening ceremony, Dr. Zali, IRIMC President and Head of Scientific Congress honored the audiences and gave a speech.
The IRIMC President addressed the Iranian health care professionals as the countries' elites who have devoted their lives to save their patients. Dr. Zali said: "Despite of sanctions which faced our nation, not only maintained our health system in a standard level but also many scientific & outstanding achievements have taken placed in this domain. Iran has made great strides in the field of stem cell technology and achieved significant advances in this medical discipline which has made us the prominent country in our region."IRIMC president said.
He added:"If we are proud of our medical achievements which have surpassed scientific boundaries, we must honor our health care professionals who have accomplished this success."
Dr. Zali said:"In accordance with national & universal guiding principles of medical ethics, Iranian health care professionals have been acting before, during, and after disasters and health emergencies to meet the needs and improve the lives of vulnerable people."
IRIMC president mentioned the major role of health care professionals during the 8 years of Iran Iraq war and appreciated their dedication for serving the public.
He added:"Despite the fact that in the war zone, medical supplies are scarce, hospitals are marked as targets, and there are many life threatening conditions, Iranian doctors and nurses provided urgent medical care to victims of war by devoting their lives."
