4th National Session of IRIMC Disciplinary Committees Directors

According to IRIMC Constitutions and ByLaws, Chapter 4, Article 5: One of the main bodies of IRIMC is Disciplinary Committees (Boards).  Disciplinary Committees (Boards) are for examining the guild and professional violations of health care professionals and the affiliated occupations; and

According to Chapter 6, Article 28: Medical council will organize the Disciplinary Medical Supreme Boards in Center for verifying the guild and professional violations of healthcare professionals and its affiliates and also the Inferior and Revision Boards in provinces centers and Medical Inferior Boards in cities… .

On 20 November 2014, Dr. Zali, IRIMC President addressed the 4th national session of Disciplinary Committees Directors of IRIMC regional branches in which IRI Minister of Health, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, and Vice-Chairman of Judicial System attended as well.

"According to IRIMC Constitutions and ByLaws, Chapter 2, Article 3: IRIMC is considered as the official authority to the Courts and Public Prosecutor's Offices on medical crimes. Hence, the relative cases should be referred to IRI Medical Council." IRIMC President remarked. He added:" The national legislature highly values healthcare professionals as according to IRIMC Constitutions and ByLaws, Article 41, Note2: The Courts and Public Prosecutor's Offices of the Islamic Republic of Iran in any city should inform the Inferior Disciplinary Boards (Committees) of the medical council in the relevant city of the facts at least 48 hours before subpoenaing and arresting the healthcare professionals to the Court or Public Prosecutor's Office for verifying misdemeanor accusation resulting from the medical professions."

Dr. Zali mentioned that 198 Public Prosecutor's Offices and 202 Inferior Disciplinary Committees of IRI Medical Council serve the public nationwide.

"308 professionals serve as experts in IRIMC Revision Disciplinary Boards while more than 2222 individuals act as experts in IRIMC Inferior Disciplinary Committees and all of them are renowned and reputable healthcare professionals."IRIMC President said.

Vice-Chairman of IRI Judicial System, the Minister of Health and Minster of Labor and Social Welfare also made a speech in the proclaimed meeting.
