In an official honoring ceremony held by Iranian Medical Council at the Main Hall of Iranian National Library and Archives in which IRIMC President as well as prominent & veteran national healthcare officials were present, Dr. Abbas Sheibani was honored by Iranian Medical Council.

Dr. Alireza Zali, IRIMC President, praised Dr. Sheibani as a nationally recognized physician and influential official in healthcare system and said:” Dr. Sheibani is the leading exemplar of ethical principles and the ideal symbol of medical practice.”

IRIMC President highly acclaimed Dr. Sheibani’s half-century accomplishments and consistent efforts and added:”Dr. Sheibani devoted his lifetime to serve the nation and made a valuable and lasting contribution to the country. As the first IRIMC President after revolution, the four-time MP and HOA Board Member, he paved the way for considerably advancement of national health system resulting in achieving highest possible standards from both technical and professional aspects in patients’ treatments.”

“As the President of Iranian Medical Council which is the nation’s largest organization in the field of medicine and the voice of all Iranian healthcare professionals, I do acknowledge the consistent efforts of national healthcare professionals and the key role of Dr. Sheibani to reach the great technical and professional accomplishments in treating our patients. Nowadays , there is no need to send patients abroad for operation and medical treatment.” Dr. Zali remarked.

Dr. Iraj Fazel, professor emeritus, former President of Iranian Academy of Medical Sciences, founder and president of Iranian Association of Surgeons and the President of Iranian Federation of Medical Associations (IFMA) also made a speech in this ceremony mentioning Dr. Sheibani  as one of nationally acclaimed physicians & honorees.

Present at the ceremony were: Mr. Mahmoud Doai, Chair and Editor-in-chief of Ettelaat newspaper; Deputy Minister of Health; Dr Hosseini, IFMA Board Member; Dr. Salehi, Chair of Iranian National Library and  Archives; IRIMC Supreme Councilors, IRIMC Directors as well as IRIMC staff.
