According to the report of MOH Deputy of Research and Technology released earlier this week, 32% of national scientific production is in the field of health and medical sciences.
"According
to certified statistics-indicating world scientific production- released by the
end of 2013, with the output of 30,000 scientific papers in the field of health
and medical sciences, Iran was ranked first in the Middle East & North
Africa region (MENA) for medical science production." MOH Deputy of
Research & Technology remarked.
He
added:"Iranian universities of medical sciences have substantially
improved since 2007. As ISI data notes, the number of Iranian medical
universities named among top world universities has doubled since 2007 and
reached 23 in 2013."
The
MOH Deputy of Research & Technology announced that the National Institute
for Medical Sciences Research Development has been established due to create
necessary infrastructures for researchers.
